Sporting Pulse APP -

There is currently an issue with the sporting pulse app that some of you may use to look up your fixtures. A technical issue means it cannot load fixtures for the summer 15/16 season. You will be able to use the app once grading games are over.

Lucky for you, the web people at the flashes have a work around so your fixture is at your finger tips. Click on the link below, and hit the fixture button, then select your team. The flashes website is linked directly to thekilsyth website which is not experiencing this issue.

Please keep an eye on your fixtures as they are sometimes updated as we settle into the season.

Attention all Members –

Unfortunately it has become apparent that there is increasing issues with players and spectators behaviour throughout the KMDBA Junior Domestic competition.

The Mooroolbark Flashes would like to remind all members, parents, guardians and spectators of our ordained code of conduct and club constitution that each member acknowledges and agrees to upon registering at the beginning of each season. I suggest that everyone reads and understands them and plays their part in stamping out bad behaviour and that each parent educates their children in understanding these codes. Please find the link below,_rules_&_…

In addition to the tribunal doing their job, the Mooroolbark Flashes committee hold no reservations in upholding our clubs codes of conduct and constitution and will sanction penalties to any player, parent or spectator who breaches any of our codes. Additionally, should you be witness to a club representative conducting themselves in a manner unbecoming to the club, I ask you to report it to me immediately. All conversations would be strictly confidential.

If you feel you cannot comply with any of our codes, please contact me directly and I will arrange for your transfer out of our club.

All of the people that work within our club are volunteers, no one receives payment for anything they contribute. This includes Committee members, Coaches and Team Managers. It is expected that all these people are shown the up most respect for simply volunteering their time and effort. If you feel you can do a better job, your best course of action is to please step up and volunteer your time, we could always do with the assistance.

Yours in Basketball
Andrew Borg

The Flashes come together for the RCH Good Friday Appeal

Throughout the finals campaign we will be asking for your support by digging deep so we can raise some funds for the RCH Good Friday Appeal.

The Mooroolbark Flashes, the Royal Childrens Hospital and The Good Friday Appeal have one common goal- "give kids the best possible outcome in life we can". Kids in our club take the court each week to have some fun, learn some skills and make friends, and it is our wish as a club for this to be possible for all kids.

Therefore we ask you to dig deep and support the club in supporting kids through the Good Friday Appeal as they support the RCH to be able to give research, treatment and care for all types illnesses that kids go through, so we get these kids out on the court too.

FLASHES FAMILY we ask you to dig deep and donate.

New Registration and Fee Payment structure for Winter 2015 season

The committee would like to inform you of changes being made in the way players are registered and fees paid in the future starting with the winter 2015 season.

From winter season 2015 all players must be registered and fees paid before the commencement of training for the upcoming season.

Any person requiring to make a financial plan with our treasurer to pay fees must do so before training commences for that season.

A player must also have any previous seasons fees paid up to date before being able to take part in the upcoming season. We have decided to take this action for a number of reasons, but mostly to ensure the financial future of the club.

At this point the fee structure remains unchanged with the first child at $80, second $75, and third child and consequent and non-training teams $60 and mini ball at $40.
